Dr. Rupp received his MD and PhD from Indiana University in 2012. Following his internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, he completed his ophthalmology residency training at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where he also completed his Fellowship in Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery.
Dr. Rupp specializes in glaucoma, but also enjoys complex medical and surgical cases that require him to consider atypical options. He performs surgery with advanced technology including LASIK and cataract surgery with both standard and advanced technology lenses presenting his patients with the foremost technology to meet their needs. He enjoys helping improve patients’ vision, and when the vision can’t be improved, he is committed to trying to maintain their vision and optimize their visual function.
Dr. Rupp has received the “Good Egg” award for the resident who best exemplified selfless dedication to excellence, helping other physicians, and providing superb care. Along with the “Good Egg” award, he has also received a Clinical Excellence Award for professionalism, integrity, and compassion. He’s been a guest glaucoma instructor for all ophthalmologists in Madagascar, and has also received a Secretariat Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
When he isn’t working, Dr. Rupp is committed to watching his four children participate in sports, coaching them in baseball and basketball during their youth. He also enjoys jazz music, cooking, photography, and plants.
